Automatic drawing connected to deep mindset mapping.

  • The deep state of focus experienced, sometimes by artists.

  • Being completely engrossed in the task/ project/ work etc..

  • The potential neglect of human needs to complete something, the ‘must do’ mindset.

  • Artist intuition.

The chance of ownership

The inclusion of spiritual items in galleries, museums or collections creates controversy. Questioning their presence in that location, taken or given by their previous owners - cultural, religious etc.. These valued, important items repurposed to view and collect.

Early examples of art collections date back to 1660, following the restoration of the monarchy.

This article talks on the events of various “Massacres, battles and wars“, creating the opportunity for the British military to  “seize' ' and “loot”, many cultural artefacts and artworks from targeted countries. An example of this being “five Asante objects”, stolen from Ghana . These were  returned “ On a state visit.. in 1961”, by Queen Elizabeth II - the previous “custodian of the Royal Collection”.

A conversation on magic.

“ come into my senses and out of my mind”

  • Outgoing, engaged. Not fully making full use of mind.

  •  Awareness, sensation. Heightened. Things not making sense

  • not making full use of our senses

  • Missing out

  • Looking for clues

  • When expecting something we can pay more attention/ want to know more if we are interested

Unexplainable feelings/ experiences.

  • Déjà vu. The idea that you’ve experienced a situation before it really happened, the predictability of events, speech and feeling.

  • When you feel someone looking at you

  • Cold shake, someone stepped on your grave.

  • Irrational exploration. Becoming too comfortable

déjà vu – the French for 'already seen' – is not only a feeling of familiarity, but also the metacognitive recognition that these feelings are misplaced.”

Deja vu, a “memory illusion” (1).

  • A feeling sometimes compared to a “glitch in the Matrix.”

The brain “will ask ‘have I been here before?’

"If you have actually been in that place before, you may try harder to retrieve more memories. If not, a déjà vu realisation can occur.”

-The process of fact checking reality through questioning/ memory.

Using a funhouse mirror, Andre Kertesz created many photo negatives of distorted nude models. Creating “compellingly surreal and unnerving”, Images. The mirror's morphing abilities transform the models into creatures or characters - a false reality.
