Marc Quinn works with the concept of ‘incomplete’ bodies through sculpture. His statues create a disconnect from the traditional image of beauty. Showing various bodies that aren't usually publicly represented, changing the way they’re viewed, telling a story of natural changing bodies. One specific example of this is his “life size sculpture”, of Alison Lapper, commissioned in 2005 and claiming the space of the “Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square ''. Quinn used themed architecture to adjust awareness of augmentation of bodies.
