Before the group crits, I prepared some notes to plan out what I wanted to say. Just simple quotes of key ideas and topics mentioned in my initial project proposal. Creating these notes allowed me to stay on track and collect specific feedback to further develop my practice.

Simple notes on feedback received.

Themes

  • Childhood.

  • Sensory experiences.

  • Childhood experience and understanding.

  • Longing for a longer childhood.

  • Exploring inner child.

           Ideas to explore.

  • People experience play whilst being asked questions.

  • Bright colours and sensory feelings.

  • Locational sensory experience.

  • Will the ceramic ‘contain’ anything?

Artists to research

  • Clarince Cliff - Ceramics.

  • Claire Thornton - Installation.

  • Yayoi Kasuma - Interactive

  • Grant Kester - Conversations

  • Relational Aesthetics Book

Discussing my topic, ideas, and progress with my peers has helped further inspire me. I will use this feedback to continue to explore my topic. In particular, these artist suggestions will be useful to gain a better understanding of how other artists have explored this topic within their own practice. I’m hoping that this initial research will allow me to find even more artists and studies relating to my topic. Finding new inspiration, ideas, and processes to explore and personalise.
